ABOUT MARCUS
I build intelligence products for fragmented markets.
I am a product and platform leader focused on the point where strategy, data, customer experience, and operating execution meet. My work spans enterprise platforms, marketplaces, mobile experiences, conversational systems, identity and permissions, and independent product research.
A CONSISTENT PRODUCT PROBLEM
The industries have changed—travel, real estate, health, collaboration, and technology—but the underlying challenge has remained consistent.
Complex rules live in disconnected systems. Data exists without shared meaning. Customers and operators still struggle to decide what to do next.
I build products that make those systems legible, useful, and scalable.
OPERATOR, BUILDER, AND TEACHER
My perspective combines enterprise product leadership, direct operating responsibility, startup experience, and graduate teaching.
I have led products serving tens of millions of users, operated a $4M P&L, founded and co-founded two startups, taught graduate digital marketing at the University of Denver, and continued to prototype independently through Altered Landscape.
HOW I WORK
Clarity before volume
A smaller number of well-defined decisions is more valuable than an impressive pile of dashboards and feature requests.
Context before certainty
Recommendations should make their evidence, assumptions, confidence, and tradeoffs visible.
Systems before symptoms
The durable solution usually requires understanding incentives, permissions, workflows, data definitions, and operating ownership together.
Action before theater
The useful output is a defensible decision, a clear next step, an accountable owner, and a way to learn.
